Day At The Beach

Nothing beats spending a day at the beach.
Up early morning to catch the breaking waves,
Solitude and silence at the line up,
Before the tourists fill up the beach.

Faster,
Faster.

Taking in all the surfing while no one's out.
Morning's over, the day's begun.
Swim out to the line up,
Idle talking with others sitting there,
Watching and timing the swells.
A nice one you begin to spy.
Start the paddle,

Faster,
Faster.

You spy another kook cutting in,

Paddle faster,
Faster.

Too late, you get cut off,
Total wipe and caught under the current.
Twice, thrice it happens to you again.
You begin to swell and break,
You spy a kook and chase him,

Faster,
Faster.

To the ground the kook falls,
Stern yellings of danger in his face.
Back out to the line up you go,

Faster,
Faster.

Daylight begins to set,
The day has gone by too fast.
