Into The Woods

Out of the woods,
I make my way.
New surroundings afoot,
A brand new day.

From the shadows I rise,
Facing the sunlight,
And to my surprise,
A host of beautiful sights.

Just as I am,
Introductions abound,
New names to cram,
My image profound.

Time pass, but I'm still,
The way I use to be,
Quiet in the thrill,
With friends around me.

Everything still unfamilar,
Like deers in headlight,
Receding to safety therefore,
Avoiding speeding blights.

Unable to fit in,
Like I know I should,
I find myself retreating,
Into the woods.
